Wild 🍤 pizza 🍕 Wednesday! I was craving some pizza today, so I decided to experiment a bit. This crust is a paleo plantain pizza crust!! It was so delicious!!! I topped it with a nutritional yeast “cheesy” spread, chopped kale, tomatoes, peppers, avocado, @zayconfresh wild shrimp and scallions. Then, I drizzled a mixture of @heatandflavor chipotle sauce and coconut aminos over the top for some spice 😋 SO BOMB!
A little about @zayconfresh…this company sells natural clean proteins for wonderful prices in bulk, and they travel all over the country and deliver! - 1/2 yellow plantain
- 2 tbls @nutiva coconut flour
- 1 tbls @salbachia ground chia (can sub ground flax)
- 1 egg and 2 whites (or 4 white)
Preheat oven to broil. Blend all ingredients until smooth, should be relatively thick but spreadable. Grease a cast iron pan with @chosenfoodsavocado oil well, ensuring it won’t stick. Heat over medium high until hot. Spread the pizza dough batter and form into crust. Keep on the burner until edges are cooked. Broil for about a minute, just to get the top cooked. Take out of oven, top with your toppings, then put under broiler for about 5 minutes until done to your liking. Take out of oven and devour in one sitting 😍
